On-site CCA Treatment
AH Timber & Fencing specialise in CCA Timber Treatment. CCA is an acronym for Chromatic Copper Arsenate. The Copper aspect of the treatment protects the wood from decay. Chromium fixes the preservative to the wood which gives the finishing touch for extreme durability for the outdoor use the timber will be used for. Arsenate acts as protection against borers and termites. CCA treatment is regulated by the Australian pesticides and veterinary authority (APVMA). As CCA treatment is commonly used for outdoor timber structures, the APVMA have implemented a series of precautions when it comes to CCA timber treatment for outdoor uses and structures. This is to ensure the safe use and safe human contact with treated timber.
